KSRelief highlights humanitarian aid efforts in Yemen despite Houthi obstructions

RIYADH: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the transfer of seven European destinations to Terminal 1 at the new King Abdul Aziz International Airport.

The flights will be operating from Jeddah to Athens, Rome, Milan, Geneva, Vienna, Munich and Frankfurt, starting on Oct. 28.

The flights will be handled by the national carrier Saudia, bringing the total number of domestic and international destinations transferred to the new airport to 35.

GACA explained that the plan to transfer flights to Terminal 1 was prepared in cooperation with national and international airlines. The flights will be progressively increased to ensure high efficiency in the operation of the terminal.

The first flight from the new airport to Athens International Airport will take off on Oct. 28. Flights to the other destinations will commence on Nov. 3.
