Alessandra Ambrosio flaunts Dubai-born label in Riyadh

DUBAI: Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted in the region over the weekend — she touched down in Riyadh to attend the inaugural MDL Beast festival. For the opening night, the Victoria’s Secret model chose an elegant and streamlined ensemble from Dubai-born label, Romy Collection.

The all-black look featured a leather, figure-elongating jumpsuit that was slightly unzipped to reveal a black turtleneck underneath. The Brazilian beauty elevated the Verushka jumpsuit with a thick, waist-cinching belt with gold detailing. A pair of slick black patent leather ankle boots took the classic jumpsuit, which was a go-to for 1970s bombshells Farah Fawcett and Bianca Jagger, to new heights.

The all-in-one look was ideal for the region’s biggest music festival, considering that few clothing items are as care-free or easy as the workwear-inspired piece.

Romy Collection was founded in Dubai in 2017 by Romy Hourani. The designer, who is now based in New York, has seen her creations donned by the likes of American comedian Amanda Seales and alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn.

Ambrosio wasn’t the only supermodel to be photographed rocking a regional label during the three-day musical event.

Moroccan-Egyptian model Imaan Hammam was photographed wearing a black cap by Jeddah-born womenswear designer Arwa Al-Banawi, which was inscribed with the text: “We are a Kingdom” in Arabic and English, over her hip-grazing braids. She paired the hat with a long-sleeved black top tucked into cropped black jeans and lace-up combat boots.

The Saudi capital is currently rife with international supermodels, fashion influencers and It girls, who are offering up sartorial lessons in chic and modest dressing.

Also spotted in Riyadh for the electronic musical festival was catwalk star Stella Maxwell who cut a stylish figure in a slouchy grey checkered pantsuit worn with a black jumper underneath. She pulled the look together with chunky, lace-up boots.

Sofia Richie, 21, who was also in attendance, kept things smart and casual with a leopard-print Saint Laurent coat worn over a head-to-toe black look.

Elsewhere, French beauty Cindy Bruna turned heads wearing an oversized crimson-colored shirt and matching, flared trousers. She offset the bold red ensemble with a pair of crisp white sneakers.
