JEDDAH: The health attache at the Saudi embassy in London, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Issa, has confirmed that an online health service platform is being developed to facilitate providing the needed services for patients receiving treatment in the UK.
The new platform will facilitate providing services without the need for their review by the health attache’s office in London, a statement on the Saudi Press Agency announced.
The new service will contribute to the effective communication between the patient and the health care provider, Al-Issa said during a seminar on “Saudi attachés in light of Vision 2030” in the British capital.
The platform will allow patients to implement a number of services such as financial guarantees, screenings, statements and other services.
Al-Issa said 207 patients were treated in the UK during the past year, compared to more than 240 patients who received treatments during the previous year. He added that the number of patients is decreasing due to the developments in the Kingdom’s health sector.
He also said that Saudi Arabia seeks to be a global therapeutic destination for patients from around the world as part of its Vision 2030.
