JEDDAH: A delegation from Yemen’s separatist Southern Transitional Council has arrived in Saudi Arabia, Al Arabiya reported.
The delegation, which landed in Jeddah, is headed by Aidroos Al-Zubaidi, the council’s leader.
Its arrival comes after Saudi Arabia called for talks in the Kingdom to restore calm to southern Yemen after fighting between the STC and government troops last month.
The two forces are part of an alliance allied against the Iran-backed Houthi militants that seized the capital Sanaa in 2014, sparking the ongoing conflict.
