JEDDAH: A deal has been signed to plant 5 million local wild trees in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2030 using treated renewed wastewater.The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Saline Water Conversion Corp. (SWCC) signed a memorandum of understanding to support the initiative, which is aimed at reducing the degradation of rangelands and forests, combating desertification, restoring natural habitats, raising environmental awareness and promoting adaptation to climate changes through the cultivation of local wild trees.
